Chelsea, Our #Pomeranian

We had a female dog named Chelsea a couple of years ago.  I am not sure if she was a pure breed but  she has a Pomeranian in her.  My sister-in-law, Chris, found her  half frozen  on the road.  She took her home and cared for her for   few weeks then she asked us if we want a girlfriend for Champ, our Jack Russell Terrier.  We took her because she was so cute and immediately cuddled in my lap when I first saw her.
At first Champ and Chelsea fought but they got along well afterwards.  She was  a loving dog, the only problem with her is that, she love to run away.  She would took off every chance she gets.  She would even dug out  under the fence just to get out and the neighbors would call and  tell us to come pick up Chelsea

We got tired of chasing her so we decided to give her away to a friend who wants a dog.
Another problem I had with her is her love of flowers.  She would munch on  any blooms she could find in my garden.  Below are some photos while she  was enjoying some peonies..  Even if we have a fence, we kept her chained up just to make sure that she wouldn't run away.
I am glad we found her a good home though.  They have a huge  land where Chelsea can run around without a fear of getting run over by a car as they live  in a country.  We recently visited their home and the kids got reunited with Chelsea.

cute, but I can see what a hassle she'd be.

I've only known a few dogs, but I've never seen the flower fixation. It certainly makes for some pretty pictures. My story this week is called Culmen ’79.

I guess the dog had heard the saying.. Stop and eat the roses...oh no.. it's smell the roses. haha.

Definitely a good home you found her! Healthy dog too - flowers eh? No calories there then!

What a sweet dog. It sounds like the kids and Chelsea are a good match...perhaps they can keep each other interested enough for them all to stay out of trouble...lol!

Yes, sino ba ang hindi makakaalala kay Chelsea na mahilig kumain nang mga tanim mong flowers kaya naipasa mo sa ibang amo. Great na nagkita silang muli nang mga bata. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

She was just a little dog that had not really found her home. Just kept wondering around for the right person to love her. You did your best.

She was tearing up those pink petals wasn't she? It's a challenge to have a dog who runs away constantly. Ours (a stray) (so far) has given up the idea or access to running away - but I know if the moment was right, he just might. Thankfully, he's quite content most of the times (though crazy). Glad you found a home for her where she has room to run w/o repercussions!

Happy Pink Saturday!

what a cutie! i'm glad you found her a good, safe home to live in! it's really dangerous when they like to run and you live in a busy area. we had a dog who liked to run away too, and it's very upsetting until you find them! she looks REALLY happy!

Difficult to break a dog of that bad habit -- I'm happy she has some land to roam in now! xo

You were a good soul giving Chelsea to a good home. We had a little dog that was a runner too. But we had to have her chipped cause the police caught her! Ha Ha!
Another dog we had run and was a free spirit. It cost him his young life but the memories of both of them are always in our hearts!
Love all the photos!
